Signals and Communications employees of the Canadian Pacific Railway have overwhelmingly rejected the Company’s Final Offer. IBEW System Council No. 11 represented members voted 97.2% No, on the vote ordered by the Minister of Labour. Voter turnout was 89%.
The IBEW negotiating committee will meet with CP today to continue bargaining.
International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers System Council No. 11 is now in a legal position where a 72-hour notice to strike could be be issued at anytime.
